Be sure to measure your pet for this pet carrier to make sure they will physically fit inside, weight guidelines are only a max load guide and not intened to be a sizing guide, generally measurements should be take based on how your pet will use the carrier, ie. will they be sitting or standing, head in or head out, here is a basic measuring guide:

Length: From the base of the neck (Where the collar falls) to the base of the tail (for enclosed carriers it is the tip of the nose to the base of the tail)

Height: From the floor to the top of the shoulder. (for enclsosed carriers it is from the top of the head to the floor)

More information - If you wish to take your carrier outward for use as a tote or a purse onto a coach airline seat please check with your airlines approved measurements and requirements for totes and purses for safe travel. We have a petote for small (ie. Pug, Shih Tzu or teacup or regular Chihuahua) medium hound (ie. Dachsund) and large for the bigger breeds. Wheels are for convenience during travel and are available on some of our regular and wheel backpack carriers. All of our regular and fancy couture fabric carriers are designed to be portable and some are fold away for easy storage, great for use in the car and on the plane.
