Duke Ellington was one of the Jazz Era's Greatest Composers and band leaders. Duke Ellington had a certain grace aboout him that seemed to ward off the Negative feelings and comments aimed towards African Americans in the 1930's America. Take this event for example. Duke Ellington and his Orchestra used to travel to various cities and have a "Battle of the Bands" that were primarily limited to a black audience...but this concert was one that was mostly attended by "White" folk and Duke Ellington helped break down another barrier wth his music. This offering is a Lithographic Print of the Original Poster Image of Duke Ellington at The Greystone in Detroit back in 1933. The Jpegs do not do Justice to this Poster. Done on a very thick Archival stock...the image "Jumps Out" to you when seen in person. If you love Duke Ellington...the man and his music, this Poster needs to be in your collection.
